I’m the founder of The Shirlette Collective, a creative house rooted in reverence, recovery, and the absolute audacity to feel everything deeply and still choose beauty.

 

My work is a love letter to the ones who carry too much and keep going anyway. I make space for grief, joy, education, and imagination to sit at the same table. Sometimes the story comes with a camera. Sometimes with a workbook. Sometimes with soft music and a cup of something herbal.

 

My son, Jeremiah is my favorite collaborator. He makes beats that move bones. He’s a soundscape sorcerer, a quiet genius with the rhythm of the world in his fingertips. Sometimes I just sit back and marvel at how much soul he fits into a loop.

 

My partner, DeMichael, is a daily reminder that you can be soft and still have strong arms. We’re each other’s assistant, co-director, and creative chaos managers. Sometimes he’s my cameraman. 

 

I’m just a fairy with a schedule and some ideas.
