People don’t fall through the cracks. The cracks are built into the system.
HelpEachOther exists in the space between what people need and what institutions are able or willing, to provide. Right now, our work is focused on community referrals and support navigation: helping individuals and families locate resources, understand complex systems, and move through crisis without being swallowed by bureaucracy or shame.
This is Phase One.
Access.
Clarity.
Support.
But HelpEachOther is being built to grow.
Over time, this work becomes coordinated mutual aid, then organized response networks, then long-term community infrastructure. The vision is a system where people can request and offer help in real time, where local hubs respond quickly and humanely, and where communities are not left alone in their most fragile moments.
We are not trying to replace existing systems. We are strengthening the places where they fail.
Because when people are supported early, everything changes.
